In earlier times life in the mountains was hard and onerous. Therein perhaps lies the reason of the often straightforward manner of Pinzgau people. In times past people did not have a lot; everything they needed they made themselves. Old artisan techniques were proudly handed down from generation to generation. We always try to incorporate as much artisan crafts into our hotel as we can, because we like working with our hands ourselves. Because it suits us. And because a great deal of traditional energy flows in our rooms.
